SILu^™Prot Insulin, human

SILu^™ Prot Insulin is a recombinant, stable ¹⁵N isotope-labeled human Insulin Expressed in P. pastoris, it is designed to be used as an internal standard for bioanalysis of Insulin in mass-spectrometry. SILu^™ Prot Insulin is a disulfate bonded hetero-dimer protein composed of two chains. Chain A of 21 amino acids and a thoretical amolecular mass of 2408.5; Chain B of 30 amino acids and a thoretical amolecular mass of 3468.7 (Note that Thr30 in chain B is not ¹⁵N labeled).

Insulin regulates the cellular uptake, utilization, and storage of glucose, amino acids, and fatty acids and inhibits the breakdown of glycogen, protein, and fat.

Supplied as dried pellet from a solution containing 1% acetic acid.
