Potassium chloride is a mineral salt which is used for a broad range of applications in pharmaceutical and food industry. Pharmaceutical applications are e.g. treatment of hypokalemia, or serving as a component of isotonic solutions for infusion. Beyond, Potassium chloride can also serve as a strengthening agent and flavor enhancer for food and beverage.
