Application
Filter Support has been used:
- with the extruder assembly to provide extra support and improve the flow rate of lipid suspension
- to assemble the mini-extruder filtration (MEF) system to filter the sample to maximize the particle capture
- in the extrusion steps to prevent membrane tearing
Biochem/physiol Actions
This product is used with the extruder to provide extra support and improved flow rate. Filter support provides a flat surface to eliminate tearing or rupturing of the polycarbonate membrane. It is also used as a separator between membrane layers in serial stack filtration applications. The polyester filter support is binder free and has a thickness of 100 μm. The filter support disc is chemically inert.
