Description

General description

Le D-(+)-glucose est un monosaccharide qui sert de source principale d′énergie sous forme d′ATP pour les organismes vivants. L′effet obtenu en ajoutant du glucose comme complément dans le milieu d′infection d′ookystes de Cryptosporidium parvum a été examiné. Une matrice de glucose lié à un polymère s′est avérée utile dans la synthèse parallèle à plusieurs étapes de divers composés.

Application

Le D-(+)-glucose a été utilisé comme étalon pour estimer les sucres totaux présents dans l′amidon hydrolysé par la méthode phénol-acide sulfurique.
Il a servi à la préparation des milieux liquides suivants pour la culture des cellules de levure :

Bouillon CM glucose sans HIS (histidine)
Bouillon CM glucose sans URA (uracile)
Bouillon CM glucose sans TRP (tryptophane)

Preparation Note

Ce composé peut produire une solution jaunâtre s'il est préparé à une concentration supérieure à 2 g + 15 ml.
