Buprenorphine hydrochloride USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monographs such as:
  • Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets
  • Buprenorphine Compounded Buccal Solution, Veterinary
  • Buprenorphine Hydrochloride

Biochem/physiol Actions

Agonist at ORL1 receptors; antagonist or partial agonist at μ, κ, and δ opioid receptors.
Full agonist at ORL1 receptors, antagonist or partial agonist at μ, κ, and δ opioid receptors.
