General description
Ready-to-use coated packing for those wanting to pack their own columns.
The choice of coating material is based on the stationary phase of the GC. Coated GC packing is done by coating a 6% carbowax -20M liquid phase on a chromosorb support. The GC column made up of this packing material is highly efficient, has low bleed and almost no active site. Furthermore it guarantees uniform packing in the column thereby leading to rapid analysis.
Application
Carbopack B or graphitized thermal carbon block (GTCB) was used for the determination of trace amounts of simazine and atrazine in water. It was also used for the Gas chromatographic evaluation of the organic components present in the atmosphere at trace levels for pre-concentration of the sample.
