General description
FABP4 encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in adipocytes. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. It is thought that FABPs roles include fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. (provided by RefSeq)

FABP4 (AAH03672, 1 a.a. ~ 132 a.a) full-length human protein.

Adipocyte differentiation, or adipogenesis, is a complex and highly regulated process. A recent proteomic analysis has predicted that the nonreceptor tyrosine kinase Abelson murine leukemia viral oncogene (c-Abl) is a putative key regulator of adipogenesis, but the underlying mechanism remained

Cell transplantation therapy with oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) is a promising and effective treatment for diseases involving demyelination in the central nervous system (CNS). In previous studies, we succeeded in producing O4(+) oligodendrocytes (OLs) from mouse- and human-induced pluripotent stem
