Gene Information
rabbit ... Cul4a(8451)
Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0136 maps to a region between residue 700 and the C-terminus (residue 759) of human Cullin 4A using the numbering given in entry NP_001008895.1 (GeneID 8451).
Physical form
Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7 to 8 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Other Notes
Cul4a is a member of the cullin group of proteins and functions as a scaffold to bring together ubiquitin E3 ligases, E2 conjugating enzyme, and substrate proteins to mediate the ubiquitination of substrate proteins. Several Cul4 E3 ligase complexes have been identified as important in cell cycle regulation and the DNA damage checkpoint response.

The CUL4A E3 ubiquitin ligase is involved in the regulation of many cellular processes and its amplification and/or overexpression has been observed in breast cancer. The 13q34 amplification, which is associated with the basal-like breast cancer subtype, has been proposed
