Application

Rhodamine 6G has been used as a leukocyte marker to study the interaction between leukocytes and the vascular endothelium. It has also been used to label platelets.

Biochem/physiol Actions

A rhodamine analog useful in Pgp efflux assays. Has been used to characterize kinetics of MRP1- mediated efflux.
Rhodamine 6G is a rhodamine analog useful in P-glycoprotein (Pgp) efflux assays. It has been used to characterize kinetics of multidrug resistance protein 1 (MRP1)-mediated efflux.

Analysis Note

λmax. ∼530 nm, E(1%/1cm) ∼2000-2300 (96% Ethanol)

Essential thrombocythemia (ET) and polycythemia vera (PV) are myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) that share the JAK2(V617F) mutation in hematopoietic stem cells, leading to excessive production of predominantly platelets in ET, and predominantly red blood cells (RBCs) in PV. The major cause

Superresolution fluorescence microscopy possesses an important role for the study of processes in biological cells with subdiffraction resolution. Recently, superresolution methods employing the emission properties of fluorophores have rapidly evolved due to their technical simplicity and direct applicability to existing
