Isofluraneis a fluorinated methyl ether and isomer of enflurane. The Federal DrugAdministration (FDA) has approved it for use as a volatile anesthetic to induceand maintain general anesthesia.

Isoflurane is a volatile anesthetic agent mainly used to study its interaction with the biological system.
