General description

Degree of acetylation: ≤40 mol. %
KiOmedine®-CsU is an ultra-pure chitosan of non-animal origin, produced from white mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus), in accordance with cGMP.
The crystalline structure is in the α-form. The linkage between glucosamine units is β-(1,4).

Application

Forms gels with multivalent anions. Gives clear solutions that dry to strong, clear films.
Ideal for wound healing and hemostasis; biosurgery and ophthalmology; scaffold and cell therapy; and drug delivery and vaccines
