General description

Tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) reveals that bis(3-aminopropyl)-PDMS mainly dissociates via intramolecular nucleophilic substitutions at the end groups.

Application

bis(3-aminopropyl) terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane) may be used in the synthesis of dipicolylamidopropylpoly(dimethylsiloxane) (DPPDMS).
