Useful for selection of animal cells that express the E. coli gene coding for xanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase. Also suppresses cytokine-induced nitric oxide production in mouse and rat vascular endothelial cells.

Following reconstitution, sterilize by filtration through a 0.22 µm pore-size filter, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at -20°C.
