Gene Information
human ... FOXK2(3607)
General description
FOXK2 belongs to the mammalian forkhead transcription factor family and contains forkhead DNA-binding domain and an FHA domain at the N-terminal region.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human FOXK2
Application
Anti-FOXK2 (AB2) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 2.5 μg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
FOXK2 plays an important regulatory role in AP-1 binding and AP-1 mediated gene expression. It has been identified as regulator of IL-2 transcription and is linked to cell cycle progression. FOXK2 reportedly binds to DNA containing G/T mismatches with high affinity.
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
Other Notes
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: SASLPTKRHNGDQPEQPELKRIKTEDGEGIVIALSVDTPPAAVREKGVQN

DNA mismatch repair is an important mechanism in the prevention of mutations. We reported the existence in the HL60 cell line of a novel G/T-mismatch DNA-binding protein (nGTBP) requiring strict DNA sequences. In this report, we identify the FOXK2 transcription

The transcriptional control circuitry in eukaryotic cells is complex and is orchestrated by combinatorially acting transcription factors. Forkhead transcription factors often function in concert with heterotypic transcription factors to specify distinct transcriptional programs. Here, we demonstrate that FOXK2 participates in
