• as a modifier solvent in the separation of triacylglycerols from vegetable oils by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC).
• as a solvent for extracting VOCs from biological and environmental samples prior to gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis.
