General description

Triethylamineis used as a mobile phase reagent in reversed-phase liquid chromatography todeactivate free silanol groups present in the stationary phase. It can also beused as a micellar mobile phase.

Application

Triethylamine can be used as:
  • An environmentally friendly mobile phase component in liquid chromatographic technique for separating analgesic and antipyretic drugs such as propyphenazone, caffeine, paracetamol, and its degradation impurity 4-aminophenol.
