General description
Triethanolamine (TEA) is a quaternary ammonium compound commonly used as a buffer and emulsifier.
Application
Triethanolamine can be used as:
- A nitrogen precursor in the preparation of carbon dot derived nanomaterials.
- A cross-linking agent in the synthesis of methylaluminoxane pre-catalysts applicable in the polymerization of ethylene.
- A reducing agent to synthesize Ag nanoparticles of biological importance.
