1,2-Dimethoxyethane is a water miscible solvent, used as an alternative for the hazardous organic solvents such as dioxane and tetrahydrofuran.

Application

1,2-Dimethoxyethane may be used as a solvent for the separation and determination of neutral sugars as 2,4- dinitrophenyl derivatives using high-performance liquid chromatography.
