Bromothymol Blue has been used for freshwater pH measurements over a broad range of buffer intensities.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Bromothymol Blue is a pH-indicator. It is also used for carbonic anhydrase assay due to the conversion of carbon dioxide to bicarbonate.
