General description

Pentane, a highly purified solvent, is intended for use in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and other analytical applications. Its low UV absorbance and excellent volatility make it suitable for trace analysis and sample preparation across various methodologies.

Application

Pentane can be used as a:
  • Mobile phase in normal phase high-performance liquid chromatography (NP-HPLC) for the separation and analysis of non-polar compounds.
  • Solvent in the extraction of lipids and other non-polar substances from biological samples.
  • Purification solvent in the recrystallization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
