General description
DSPE-PEG(2000) biotin is functionalized polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugated lipid.
Application
DSPE-PEG(2000) biotin has been:
- used as a component of liposomes, to prepare lipid microbubbles
- used in the control experiments, to test the influence of 2,4-dinitrophenyl (DNP)-PEG2000-PE conformation on binding affinity
- used for capsule surface modification
- added to the labelling reaction to facilitate immobilization of the samples on the streptavidin-coated microfluidic sample chambers
Biochem/physiol Actions
Biotin is a member of vitamin B family of vitamins. It maintains the health of nails and hair. Biotin is known to promote insulin function and controls blood sugar levels.
