Lead(II) nitrate is a white crystalline solid, highly soluble in water, allowing easy incorporation into solution-based synthesis methods such as sol-gel, hydrothermal, and precipitation techniques. It provides a stable source of Pb²⁺ ions, essential for preparing lead-based ceramics, ferroelectrics (like PbTiO₃ and PZT), and perovskite materials used in electronics. It thermally decomposes at moderate temperatures, releasing nitrogen oxides and forming lead oxide (PbO), which serves as a precursor for various lead-containing functional oxides
애플리케이션
Lead(II) nitrate can be used as:
- Precursor for synthesis of perovskite solar cells. Precursor in the fabrication of Cr-doped PbS thin films via a chemical bath deposition.
- The synthesized PbS films are used in optoelectronic and photoelectrochemical applications.
- A precursor to synthesize the nanoscale complex [Pb(QCA)₂]n (NSC1). The complex serves as a catalyst for degrading pollutants in wastewater treatment.
Several new polymeric complexes of lead with dialkylamino derivatives of squaric acid were produced to study their coordination modes as possible prototypes for studies of lanthanide complexes.
