General description

Triton™ X-165 is a non-ionic surfactant that is highly versatile and can be used in a range of laboratory applications. It is soluble in water and miscible in most polar organic solvents, but insoluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. This makes it an excellent choice for preparing iodophors and dispersions. Additionally, Triton X-165 is highly chemically stable in most acidic and alkaline solutions, which makes it ideal for researchers who need a reliable and effective nonionic surfactant. Application

Triton™ X-165 solution is suitable for use in:

  • studying its surface tension-dependent toxicity on the green peach aphid, Myzus persicae to determine the mechanism of surfactant action
  • paints and coatings, agrochemicals, fiber lubricants, emulsion polymerization
