Application

The SRM is designed for the evaluation of test methods and calibration of instruments used in the determination of sulfur in furnace (metallurgical) coke.

Features and Benefits

  • The certified value of the SRM was determined by calculating the mass fraction values of sulfur, which is obtained through isotope dilution thermal ionization mass spectrometry (ID-TIMS).
  • Reference values for elements are also expressed as mass fractions on their dry-mass basis.
  • The certified value is metrologically traceable to the SI unit of mass fraction, expressed as a percentage.
  • The NIST certificate is provided with expiration certificate, use, storage, handling, and maintenance instructions.

Other Notes

Certified for the analytes listed below.
Sulfur (S)

Reference/Informational value is provided for the following analytes.
Ash, Volatile Matter, Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H), Nitrogen (N)

See certificate for values and more details at nist.gov/SRM.
